Description
I did a photo shoot for the WASP (Women Airforce Service Pilots) National WW II Museum at Avenger field in Sweetwater, TX to honor the 1074 brave women who volunteered during WW II to learn how to fly airplanes in order to free up the male pilots to serve in combat roles. They ferried airplanes from the factories to airfields, towed aerial gunnery targets, transported equipment and non-flying personnel, and flight-tested aircraft that had been repaired before the men were allowed to fly them again.
Near the end of the photo shoot, we suddenly decided to attempt to re-create some of the iconic & historical photos of the WASP's that have been published over the years. It was an honor to create these photos, and a lot of fun as well!
