Description
A lot of my pictures have been taken while my wife & I were on a mission trip to some other country or state in the US. Even though we may be working in some of the poorest locales in the world, I have learned that there can be many interesting photo opportunities in any situation.
While in Puerto Rico, we took a day off from our mission work, and traveled to Old San Juan, wandering around Castillo San Felipe del Morro, (an old fort.)
While touring the old fort, this guy, (who obviously was used to begging for food from tourists struck this pose for me.) What you can't see in the picture is my wife's hand holding out a cracker or something for the iguana to eat, and he's stretching to reach it. Without knowing that there is food in front of him, he almost looks like he's doing some kind of yoga pose.
Here's a little info about the fort In Old San Juan.
"Lying on the northwesternmost point of the islet of Old San Juan, Castillo San Felipe del Morro is named in honor of King Philip II of Spain. The fortification, also referred to as el Morro or 'the promontory,' was designed to guard the entrance to the San Juan Bay, and defend the Spanish colonial port city of San Juan from seaborne enemies. The construction of the citadel and its surrounding walls began in 1539 on orders of King Charles V of Spain."
