Description

This pump jack adorned with dinosaurs is a distinctly Abilene feature, for sure! It's on the property of a local retired oil operator who still sells a bit of used oilfield equipment now and then. The metal dinosaurs are manufactured by a welder in town, and these are installed in concrete around the old pump jack, or, in the case of the little guy on top, welded to it.

The owner supplied the title "Oil-The Legacy of Time," which couldn't be more appropriate, as everyone knows that crude oil comes from deceased dinosaurs, right? Out of all my lightpaintings, this one may get the most attention and accolades.
