Description
My wife & I got invited to go on safari in Kenya with her sister, who was researching a children's book she was writing about the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust in Nairobi, whose mission it is to rescue, raise, and return orphaned elephants back into the wild. It was a fantastic trip, and photographic opportunity, but unfortunately digital cameras were brand new, and my photography skills were not up to the task of taking perfect photos. I took about 4,000 pictures with my little Nikon 6mp camera, and threw over 3500 of them away when I got home and looked at my feeble efforts on the computer screen. But, man...... what a trip!
I hope to return someday with the equipment and skill sets that I now have. Maybe I'll only have to throw half of my photos away by then.
Zebra is pronounced differently in Kenya than it is in the US, with the Z sounding like "ZEB", as rhymes with red. So, it's zebra, not zebra. Can you hear it?
