Description
When schedules allow, my extended family spends a week or so each year on the beach at S. Padre Island, TX.
On the north end of the island is a bird sanctuary, from which this sunset was captured at low tide from the marshy shore. It's been one of my favorite sunset pictures for a long time, and a large 20x30 framed print of it hangs in my office.
Every time my eyes are caught by the vivid orange landscape, I am immediately drawn back to the moment, and am ready to return to the beach, with it's tangy salt air smell and sounds of gulls crying out.
