Confession time here. Not only do I not know what kind of orange flower this is, I don't know what kind of orange bug this is. I know, I should know both, and probably very likely did in my younger days before the years went by way too fast.

This technique of "selective color" is disdained by many photographers, saying it is pasee', overdone, and gimmicky. But, I've always liked it for certain photos, like this one. My wife, who is the true artist of the family, constantly admonishes me to create what I like, so, here it is. Selective color photograph of two unknowns. :-)
