Description
A lot of my pictures have been taken while my wife & I were on a mission trip to some other country or state in the US. Even though we may be working in some of the poorest locales in the world, I have learned that there can be many interesting photo opportunities in any situation.
While in Puerto Rico, we took a day off from our mission work, and traveled to Old San Juan, wandering around Castillo San Felipe del Morro, (and old fort) and nearby locations. If memory serves, this arch was adjacent to the old fort.
Here's a little info about the fort.
Lying on the northwesternmost point of the islet of Old San Juan, Castillo San Felipe del Morro is named in honor of King Philip II of Spain. The fortification, also referred to as el Morro or 'the promontory,' was designed to guard the entrance to the San Juan Bay, and defend the Spanish colonial port city of San Juan from seaborne enemies.
